Education in India means a whole world to parents and students. But when we closely observe parents and students are confused and often mislead about the options that they have.

So we had a chance to interact with Dr Shubham Mahajan who happens to be the founder partner of Prepsmart an edutech firm which is revamping the educational arena with its out of the box practices to help students attain the necessary skills & exposure to the practical world. Dr Shubham Mahajan said , “ Today in coaching centers only textbook syllabus and test oriented approach is adopted which shunts the capabilities of a student and hampers his or her ability to develop cognitive thinking and keeping a dynamic mind around themselves. Well we have enough blame for the education system but never tried a change. So we decided to work on this change.”
“Our JEE students don’t just study Physics, chemistry and mathematics but also practice group discussions on the latest geo-political , social and global topics.They learn new vocabulary and etiquette. They sit for extra aptitude sessions where they learn to solve word problems that are not a regular part of their syllabus.They practice sudoku puzzles which helps them sharpen their concentration. They take part in live projects like website building , poster and canva making, helping them get hands-on experience on various projects at an early age. Many of our students have started interning with us handling complex managerial profiles which otherwise require a traditional MBA. Some of our IPMAT & MBA entrance students are learning digital marketing and professional investment banking at our centers not with an objective of just earning a certificate but to learn a new concept and actually apply it somewhere. A group of students recently started doing paper trading and are now making their peer groups aware about the power of investing at their age”.
