DIET TIPS TO STAY HEALTHY DURING HOLI BY NUTRITIONIST UTKARSH

The spring festival of India, Holi-is, a festival of colors also known as Rang Panchmi, is celebrated on the full moon in the month of March or April according to the Hindu calendar. It was meant to welcome the spring and say goodbye to the winter. It also means asking blessings of God for a good harvest and for the fertility of the land. Holi is played in India, Nepal, and other regions of the world with significant populations. Holi celebrations start on the night before Holi with a Holika bonfire where people gather. The following day is a day where all participants play, chase and colour each other with dry powder and coloured water. 

On this day, there are many traditional foods to be eaten. Good food is as it looks. You first eat with your eyes and wait to dig into the holi special food displayed out there. Are you going out to play Holi? – A healthy and heavy breakfast is compulsory so that you should not end up overeating as it will just add more calories.
